Frequently Asked Questions

Virtual Agent Program (VAP)

General Questions

The Virtual Agent Program (VAP) platform is a system that allows users (Virtual Agents) to load float (Provide Liquidity) enabling transactions on the Main Website (ZendRemit) to be completed in real-time (payout facilitation). Whenever the agent float funds are used in transaction completion, the agent earns the respective commissions (Revenue Share).

To become a Virtual Agent, you need to sign up on the VAP platform website and follow the registration process.

"Float" refers to the funds that Virtual Agents load onto the VAP platform, which are used to facilitate transactions on the Main Website (ZendRemit).

The float can be loaded via mobile money or bank deposit (or transfer).

The minimum amount of float balance that can participate is approximately USD 50 (KES 5,000).

You can however top-up float by loading any amount as defined by the loading method (Mobile or Bank).

There are two ways an agent can earn commissions on the VAP platform. Either through "Direct Commissions" or via "Referral Commissions".

Whenever a Virtual Agent account issues float funds for participation, the respective agent earns "Direct Commissions" which are then moved into the "Outstanding Commissions" account until they are simultaneously (as with outstanding float) credited into the main "Commissions" account in approximately T + X business days after payout participation.

As well, whenever an agent uses your referral link to sign-up for a VAP account and subsequently participates; you will automatically earn a 5% revenue share per transaction ("Referral Commissions"); while they earn 30%, for upto 12 Months from their account creation.

Financial Questions

Virtual agents may withdraw funds from two accounts. The "Float Account" and/or "Commissions Account".

Outstanding float funds and outstanding commissions will automatically be returned to the agent's float account and the commission account, respectively, in approximately T + X business days after payout participation. Virtual Agents may then withdraw the funds from either of the two accounts as per the policies set by ZendRemit.

An agent may withdraw and receive settlement funds from the commissions account in real-time; while withdrawals from the float accounts will take the time stipulated under the Terms & Conditions to be settled.

The percentage commission rate shown is an estimate and may be subject to change. The exact commission rate will be communicated to Virtual Agents through the VAP platform. The commission rate being at least 24% of your loaded float per annum.

24% is the minimum guaranteed commission rate per annum.

The minimum amount of float balance that can participate is approximately USD 50 (KES 5,000).

You can however top-up float by loading any amount as defined by the loading method (Mobile or Bank).
